How it works

The power lies in the material you don't know.

You know your own field, and you know what you want to achieve. What decides whether you succeed often sits outside it: a plan from another sector, a decision from last year, a living-conditions statistic, a municipality that has tried the same thing. SustainBridge connects what you know to what you have no overview of but which bears on what you are trying to do — and shows where each part comes from.

Before you log in

The material is loaded in advance

We collect and index the municipality's publicly available documents before you start using the tool: the municipal master plan, sector plans, strategies, the budget and financial plan, and national statistics about the municipality. Norwegian laws and regulations sit in the same body of material, so an answer can show both what the municipality has adopted and what the rules require. Most of this is not your own material — it is the neighbouring sector's plan, last year's decision, the county's strategy and figures about your own municipality that you have had no reason to look up. And because every Norwegian municipality and county authority is loaded, you can also ask what a municipality that faced the same thing actually did.

This is why no integration is required. The system does not pull data out of your case management systems. It reads documents that are already public. And because every Norwegian municipality and county authority is mapped in advance, it works from anywhere in the country — not only where someone has ordered it.

How it is built

  • The tool retrieves and summarises what the municipality's adopted material says.
  • Every answer shows its sources, so you can check them.
  • You are always told that you are talking to an AI system.
  • The solution works on public, adopted material and on your organisation’s own working material — not on personal data about individual residents.

Three tasks

Look it up, see the connections, use it in a case

The three belong together. The first finds out what applies, including where you have not looked. The second connects it to your own work and shows who it concerns. The third turns it into something you can put forward.

STEP 01 · LOOK IT UP

Look it up — what does it actually say?

Ask an open question about the situation in the municipality. The system searches the whole body of material — including documents you did not know existed — and summarises what it says, with a reference to the source of each statement. So you see both what the answer rests on and what it does not.

STEP 02 · SEE THE CONNECTIONS

See the connections — who does it concern?

Here what you are working on is connected to everything else that bears on it: which other areas the need touches, which adopted goals it meets, and who can contribute. What looks like one sector's problem usually turns out to be several sectors' at once — and usually someone else has already written about it.

STEP 03 · USE IT IN A CASE

Use it in a case — what do we do about it?

Get a draft measure with a proposal for what would count as a result — soberly worded, as a contribution and not as cause and effect. The priority and the decision remain yours.

First week

What happens when you start

Day 1

You get access and log in. No installation, no setup. The municipality's material is already in place. No implementation project, no consultancy phase, no data collection you have to do yourselves.

Week 1

Use the tool on a case you are working on now. Most people start with something concrete they already have to write or justify — a committee report, an application, a consultation response.

What procurement and privacy ask about

These are the questions that come before anyone gets to try the tool. The answers are here.

All processing takes place within the EU/EEA

The application, the database, the files and the AI processing itself sit inside the EU/EEA — not just storage. Today in Stockholm, Ireland and Frankfurt.

No training on your content

Neither we nor any subprocessor may use your material to train AI models.

Subprocessors are named

The companies that help us run the platform are listed with their purpose, their location and the basis for the processing.

Personal data stays out

The system is not built for information about individual residents, and the terms of use say so in plain words at login. The boundary is in the product and in the terms alike — and in the table of information classes the service is approved for.

Your own working material

Paste or upload drafts, proposals, presentations, consultation responses and answers to political questions, and get feedback on structure, presentation and professional coherence. It stays on your organisation’s own account, separate from other customers’ data, and is never used for training.

The data processing agreement is already signed

The terms apply equally to every customer, and you accept them when you order — no negotiation, no signature at your end. You get a copy with your organisation’s name on it for your archive.

SustainBridge Solutions AS is a Norwegian company based in Trondheim, company registration number 935 557 313. The service costs from NOK 2,900 per month, within ordinary procurement limits and with no tender process.

Next step

Try it on your own municipality

In a 30-minute walkthrough we use your municipality as the starting point, not a generic example.
